Registering on eToro

I'm glad you decided to sign up for eToro! You are making a responsible decision in your life, and you are ahead of 90% of your peers, most people will never invest, and, as a result, they will work until they retire! Let me give you a step-by-step guide below!

Choose Your Nationality

eToro separates its business between the US and the Rest of the World. When you sign up, you need to use the link based on where you are located. The link will open in a separate browser tab, making it easy to get back to the guide.

Signup process

OK, you have chosen whether you live in the US, or elsewhere, I made you screenshots to go through the signup process. It is not that complicated, you can complete them on your own as well. As you are registering to a registered broker, they have to ask several questions, and you will need to upload your ID/passport for verification. You will also need to add a mobile number from the same country. Only then you can fund your account!

Once your account is funded, you can search for a Popular Investor to copy! Don't worry, I'll walk you through!

Start the Signup process

There should be a button saying "Try CopyTrader", or Sign up to eToro. They may change the landing page from time to time, it should be straightforward.

Create an Account

I recommend creating an account by filling in your email username and password. Select your eToro username carefully, you will not be able to change it in the future! Read and Accept the Terms and Conditions, and hit Create an Account

Completing your Profile

eToro asks you a series of questions from here, starting with your Country of residence. Where you live, pay your taxes, and have an ID. You can select your country from the dropdown menu, and hit "Continue"

Entering your Name, DOB

In this step, enter your name, exactly as it says on your Passport or ID. Select your Gender and birthday. Should be easy!

In this step, enter your name, exactly as it says on your Passport or ID. Select your Gender and birthday. Should be easy!

Adding Your Residental Address

eToro needs to ask about your stock trading experience and understand your level of knowledge regarding Investments. They need to do this by law, as part of a suitability assessment. You should tell the truth, however, no one is checking it. The more experience you can demonstrate, the more services you have access to. eToro is checking your risk tolerance and allows you to access various features, such as leverage, CopyTrading, forex trading, access to equities and CFDs, commodities, and Crypto.
